Get Your Iphone and UnLock it for FREE! (Oh, btw this is Not the Hardware Unlock!)

Well, Now as you read this post the iphone software unlock hit the web already and there is a huge line at Iphone Stores j/k.. Some of them were charging $50 for it while an Australian guy was charging $40. Last evening, some kids with too much time on their hands just reverse engineered the same code and decided to give out out for free!!

I have not personally unlocked any iphones..

You must have the latest 1.02 firmware and have your iPhone Jailbroken, which can be done by ibrickr. The full guide can be found here or here.

Summary of steps:
1) Run jailbreak.
2) Install activation files to "activate" the phone.
3) Run commands
4) FREEDOM: If you are scared of SSH terminals, wait until tomorrow, a APP GUI should be released to make this all simpler.

Yesterday iUnlock, the first free open source iPhone SIM unlock app was released to the underground just 74 days after the iPhone's release. Developed by the iPhone Dev Team, it's not for the faint of heart and it takes a little longer than iPhoneSIMfree's method, but it works. To pull this off you'll need iUnlock + nor + the .fls file, which is available in ZIPs all over. We've got the app here, but it doesn't have all the files necessary.
